Bruno Valsangiacomo

Executive Chairman Tectus Group

Bruno Valsangiacomo is a successful entrepreneur and multi-industrialist. He is Executive Chairman of the Tectus Group, which he has led since 2000, expanding the group’s focus from construction, engineering and real estate to new technologies in media, consumer and biomedical markets.

He is co-founder and Chairman of Screening Eagle Technologies- a platform revolutionizing infrastructure asset monitoring and maintenance leveraging new technologies in AI, AR/VR, sensing, IoT and data visualisation- with a mission to protect the built world with software, sensors and data.

Bruno was a Founding Shareholder and Executive Chairman of ITI Group. Formed in 1991, ITI Group built the largest broadcasting, media and entertainment group in Poland, and its core company, publicly listed TVN Group, was sold to Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. in 2015.

Since 1997 Bruno has been a Director of BBR Holdings (S) Ltd as well as a Board Member of other Tectus Group associated companies. Bruno is also a founding partner of Virtually Live, a media & technology company specialised in virtual live event experiences, NeuroPro, a company developing next generation tools for applied brain science, and The Brain Forum, an independent charitable foundation dedicated to helping fulfil the potential of brain science to benefit humanity.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the School of Economics and Administration in Zurich.

Marcel Poser

Board Member

Marcel Poser is a business strategist and technology innovator, experienced in global commercialization and startups across multiple industries. 

Marcel also serves in leadership positions for several Tectus Group companies. Additionally, he is the founding partner and director of Tectus Dreamlab Pte. Ltd., a cross-functional research center in Fusionopolis, Singapore, and leads various research and development projects in IoT, virtual and augmented reality and construction engineering productivity.

Marcel earned his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from Zurich University of Applied Sciences and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin in 2001. In 2016 Marcel became only the 30th alumni of the University of Texas at Austin, that has been recognized with the prestigious Outstanding Young Engineering Graduate Award. He began his career in the field of construction engineering, working on tunnels and bridges in Switzerland, the European Union, the Asia-Pacific region, Africa and the United States. In 2002, he joined Tectus as project manager at the BBR Group, where he subsequently served as CEO of BBR VT International from 2006 to 2011 and spearheaded the development of the world’s largest construction engineering franchise, BBR Network.

Romano Fanconi

Executive Board Member Tectus Group


Romano Fanconi heads the Finance, Administration and Legal Department of the Tectus Group. Romano joined Tectus Group in 1995 and has gained profound experience in all aspects of international finance and transactions. He  has served as Corporate Secretary of ITI Group, the leading Polish Media and Entertainment Group, for the past 20 years. As part of the ITI Group, Romano contributed to building several international ventures, M&A and international capital market transactions, mainly in the high yield area, including the sale of Poland’s leading commercial broadcaster TVN Group to Scripps Networks International. 

Within the Tectus Group, Romano is a board member of Proceq S.A., a leading NDT specialist, BBR VT International and alternate board member in publically listed BBR Holdings (S) Ltd. 

Romano is also a founding partner in Metaverse Holdings Ltd., a virtual reality company specialized in virtual live event experiences. Romano is a board member of Icelandic Water Holdings, producer and distributor of one of the purest bottled waters, Icelandic Glacial. 

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the School of Economics and Administration in Lucerne.

Claudia Valsangiacomo-Brandestini

Executive Board Member Tectus Group 


Claudia and her family are the founding shareholders of the Tectus Group. Claudia has multi-disciplinary expertise in general administration, human resources and EDP, gained through her diverse roles within Tectus Group as well as her previous experience as general manager of a company active in the import and distribution of natural stone and marble materials for façades and design furniture and elements. A founding member of ffc, Claudia is responsible for the firm's administration, accounting and central logistics and real estate including design.

Nick Brandestini

Vice Chairman Tectus Group


Nick holds a Master's Degree of Business Administration from the University of Zurich. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Tectus Group since 1999 and, in 2012, he became its Vice Chairman. In 2002, Nick joined the team of FFC Fincoord Finance Coordinators Ltd, a privately-owned consulting firm based in Zurich. In 2007, he began work for Proceq Ltd in the supply chain department and, in 2010, became Head of Global Marketing. Nick has also worked as a producer and editor for the music television channel VIVA.

In 2013, together with his sister, Vesna Eckert-Brandestini, he founded Envi Films Ltd, a media production company focusing on documentary and image films. He directed the award-winning documentaries Darwin (2011) and Children of the Arctic (2014), among other films.

Vesna Eckert-Brandestini

Vesna earned her Master’s degree for Science in Architecture at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in 2006. She has practiced architecture in Zurich and Los Angeles, where she was involved in numerous public and private projects. In addition, she has taught at the ETH. Today, Vesna is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Tectus Group and lives with her husband and three children in Zurich. Together with her brother, Nick Brandestini, she is the owner of Envi Films Ltd, a media production company focusing on documentary and image films. She has also recently joined the Zurich Film Festival team, where she works as a programmer for children’s and youth films.

Hemera Beretta

Chief of Staff

Hemera is an internationally experienced management professional with over 10 years’ experience in the healthcare, technology and new media industries. From 2006 to 2011, she worked in pharmaceuticals with Sanofi and Novartis holding various roles in the areas of strategy, business development, pricing and market access building extensive project experience in Australia and Asia Pacific in consumer, medical and business-to-business sectors.

Since joining Tectus her focus has primarily been on the Group’s new ventures portfolio, identifying, screening, due diligence and executing new business opportunities with commercial and strategic fit with Tectus’ vision, as well as Group Executive Office functions including stakeholder management and leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.

In addition to her position at Tectus, Hemera is a Senior Advisor at FFC Fincoord Finance Coordinators, a privately-owned consulting firm offering financial and strategic advisory and management services.

Hemera joined Tectus in 2013 after obtaining a MBA with honours at IMD in 2012. She has both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne in Australia, and Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia. Hemera speaks English and Swiss German.

 

Tectus Carbon Initiative

Gianni Moor

Member of Executive Committee (Tectus Carbon Initiative)

Gianni Moor is a senior executive with over 25 years of extensive international management experience.

In 2001, together with his late business partner, he acquired the Swiss company Mageba, a specialty supplier of engineered products for the bridge construction industry. First as Group COO and later as Group CEO, he successfully grew the company from 35 FTEs into a global leader with over 1,000 FTEs and annual revenues of over CHF 120 million.

During his time at Mageba, Gianni built the North American and Latin American market from the ground up, as Chairman of Mageba India, he oversaw the operations in India for 15 years resulting in a stable profitable growth, and finally as Group CEO led a global restructuring program which significantly improved the company's profitability.

Gianni joined the Tectus Group in 2023 focusing on the “Carbon Initiative” to drive sustainability in new construction and preservation of the built world.

Gianni holds a master's degree in civil engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich.

He also successfully completed a two-year full-time MBA program at the IESE Business School in Barcelona, ​​​​Spain. During the MBA program he worked on a 3 month project in Lagos, Nigeria and studied at IPADE Business School in Mexico City for one semester.

Koichi Oba

Member of Executive Committee (Tectus Carbon Initiative)

Koichi Oba is a business leader and turnaround specialist with a track record of above market business growth in complex global business environments. He has been responsible for not only the establishment of growth strategies, but also the execution of key initiatives resulting in strategic M&A and consolidation, new market entry by capex in new technologies and organic growth of core businesses.

After various successful management roles at Hilti, Koichi joined Sika as country CEO for Japan in 2007, where he transformed the stagnated businesses by tripling sales and profit. In 2013, he was appointed as the global head of Target Market Roofing at Sika headquarters in Switzerland. During his time, he accomplished sales and profit growth extending the global platform to more than 90 countries, 5 R&D hubs and 35 production sites.

From 2020 to 2022, he has also served as a Global Head of Mineral Materials at Holcim, where he supported the company’s Net Zero Strategy by strategic sourcing of carbon neutral mineral materials. He has also supported the company strategy to establish a new global business unit of Solutions and Products including involvement in mega acquisition projects.

Since October 2022, Koichi is a Member of the Executive Committee in for the Carbon Initiative at Tectus.

He graduated with a Master of Civil Engineering from Waseda University in Tokyo, holds PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and an MBA from City University in Seattle.

Koichi speaks English, German, Swedish and Japanese.

Michael Matzinger

Facilities Manager Tectus Group


Michael is the facility manager for the Tectus Group's offices in multiple locations. He is in charge of maintenance and logistics as well as administrative and coordinating functions with the leadership team. Among these are his roles supporting construction, engagement of maintenance staff, first aid, photography and inventory management working in close collaboration with management and as right hand of Claudia Valsangiacomo. Michael was born in Denmark and moved to Switzerland in 1991, joining Tectus portfolio company Fincoord in 1997. 

Michael speaks English, German, Danish and Norwegian. 

IT&AS Services

Markus Waser

Head of IT ServicesTectus Group


Markus joined the Tectus Group in 2003 as a senior IT consultant. He heads the IT Services team at Tectus Group and is responsible for the global IT Support and design and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions within the Tectus Group. Markus has vast experience across numerous IT solutions and is an expert in IT security matters and smart building solutions. Markus has been responsible for the full suite of IT solutions deployed in Proceq’s new headquarters in Schwerzenbach opened in 2015. 

Prior to joining the Tectus Group Markus lead several leading international IT infrastructure projects for companies like Andrew Corporation, Zurich Financial Services and Centre Reinsurance Limited. 

Markus has been working in IT since 1986. He holds a Diploma in Computer Science and a Federal Diploma of Higher Vocational Education and Training in Information Technology.

Markus speaks German and English.

Rolf Kuster

Senior IT Consultant Tectus Group


Rolf Kuster is a seasoned IT professional with a Master in Computer Science and has been working in IT since 1981. He has held several management positions within leading international companies including Zurich Financial Services where he was nominated as Head of Electronic Commerce and worked on several international projects in the US, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Venezuela involving cross-company application integration. Rolf's IT know-how ranges from internet technologies (like Cloud, Web, VoIP, Java, Mobile) to mainframes, midrange systems, networks and been responsible for projects to integrate heterogeneous systems as well as application and solution architecture and security (incl. encryption, authentication etc.). Rolf has extensive experience in IBM and Microsoft platform environments including specific knowledge on IBM Lotus Notes/Domino/Sametime and Microsoft Skype4B/Sharepoint. Rolf holds the IBM Lotus Award "CTO EMEA" for 2005

Rolf speaks German, English and Spanish fluently as well as French at intermediate level.

Christoph Conrad

Senior IT Supporter / IT Project Leader Tectus Group


Christoph brings more than 15 years of experience in the IT environment to the Tectus team. He has been involved with the operation of  server / network infrastructure, client and user support includes since its entry into the IT world in 1993. In addition Christoph is qualified in IT project management IPMA Level, and has expertise in interface definition, programming and training.

Following his apprenticeship as a draftsman, Christoph spent 4 years in the German Navy as a navigator on a submarine. He then worked as a design engineer and later as a CAD engineer as well as obtaining experience in mechanical engineering, project management and IT consulting.

Christoph joined Tectus in 2013. As a member of a small team Christoph is responsible for various software projects and also the operation, extension and renewal of the IT infrastructure and user support within the Tectus group.

Administration

Paolo Berwert

Senior Accountant Tectus Group


Paolo is an experienced accountant with profound knowledge in finance, administration and compliance and is well versed across several national and international accounting standards. Paolo holds a degree as a chartered accountant from the school of Economics and Business Administration in Zurich. Paolo started his professional career in 1992 as an apprentice in an accountancy firm. From 1996 to 2002 he worked for several affiliates of an international advertising-group as an accountant where he was responsible for accounting and reporting. From 2003 to 2005 he worked as an accountant for a Private Equity and Real Estate company.

He joined the Tectus Group in June 2005 as Senior Accountant heading the accounting team within the Group. Paolo's expertise at Tectus Group covers the entire range of finance and accounting functions and he has a track record involving finance work for M&A and capital market transactions, consolidation for national and international groups as well as designing and implementing group wide reporting systems.

Marcia-Jasmin Kägi

Accountant Tectus Group

Marcia works as accountant in the Tectus Finance and Administration team. She holds a Federal Diploma as Purchasing Manager with IFPSM certification (International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management). Marcia joined Tectus with over 8 years of experience in national and international purchasing in the aircraft industry for Bucher Leichtbau AG and for Eugster Frismag AG, having gained experience as Project Manager and in technical purchasing. Marcia sought the challenge to broaden her focus in finance and accounting upon joining Tectus in 2016.

Marcia speaks German, French and English.

Carmen Behles

Corporate Secretary Tectus Group


Carmen is Corporate Secretary of Tectus Group with diverse responsibilities across the Group’s activities, she joined Tectus Group in 1994 as an Assistant being appointed in 2000 as Corporate Manager Tectus Group and was appointed Corporate Secretary of the Tectus Group of Companies in 2013. Carmen is heading the Valsangiacomo family office.

Carmen is a Graduate from the School of Economics and Business in Zurich. After gaining experience in Private Banking in Switzerland she graduated from the Zurich University of Applied Linguistics as a Translator.

Susanne Bachmann

Assistant to the CEO of Tectus Group / Corporate Assistant  Tectus Group

Susanne joined the Tectus Group in 2000. After graduating from her hairdressing apprenticeship in Switzerland, she travelled to San Diego, USA, where she completed her English studies at Converse International School of Languages, prior to joining the cantonal tax office in Zurich where she worked as an assistant in administration.  

Susanne is the assistant to the CEO of the Tectus Group. She is as a true all-round talent responsible for the Tectus Group contract and company administration, office and travel organization, finance and administration support for the IT&AS team and general office work.

Susanne speaks English and German.
