Screening Eagle Dreamlab Pte Ltd was established in Singapore in November 2015 by the Tectus Group, to focus on cutting-edge, cross-functional research. The Screening Eagle Dreamlab team works on cross-disciplinary R&D projects that leverage existing expertise within the Tectus Group, combined with the novel technologies and capabilities of various research platforms in Singapore. The team is housed in the new state-of-the-art facility in Fusionopolis. Covering 30 hectares, the Fusionopolis cluster provides an environment conducive to growth in the information and communications technologies (ICT), media, physical sciences and engineering industries.

The premier initiative of Screening Eagle Dreamlab is Virtual Inspection Platform (VIP) - a research project to create a holistic platform for asset monitoring and maintenance, which will help ensure optimal performance of infrastructure investment worth around US$57 trillion globally. In addition to tapping into global trends of virtual and augmented reality, the Internet of Things, mobile computing, big data, cloud computing and wearable technology, this new facility will also foster frequent interactions with customers and partners in the region.

Screening Eagle Dreamlab’s first research partnership is with A*STAR’s Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R). The partnership will see the undertaking of joint research to develop capabilities in lifecycle management for the VIP project. The two-year partnership involves over 20 top caliber and highly-experienced researchers from both organisations and is part of Screening Eagle Dreamlab’s long-term commitment to the research and development (R&D) landscape in Singapore.

While the Tectus Group has successfully operated in Singapore, Screening Eagle Dreamlab is the Group’s first R&D-focused strategic investment in the city-state. The Tectus Group has been active in Singapore - through publicly-listed BBR Holdings Singapore and privately held Proceq Asia - for more than 20 years. BBR Holdings Singapore is the industry leader in implementing modular construction technology and leads innovative green technology initiatives - driving efficiency, productivity and automation in Singapore’s construction and utilities sectors. Proceq Asia operates today as the regional headquarters for all sales, marketing and service activities in the Asia-Pacific region for Proceq SA which specializes in high-precision, portable non-destructive testing devices and solutions.

Screening Eagle Dreamlab aims to lead various next-generation initiatives in med-tech, renewable energy, construction productivity and interactive entertainment arenas with the objective of serving global markets in the medium-to-long term.
